Sampled at the brewpub. Pours a clear, golden color, with a big, frothy, white head. The aroma is straw, orange peel, and some basic cereals. Sweet and malty, with an easy bitterness. Light to medium body, with a syrupy, lightly acidic palate. This is a simplistic but well made IPA.

Can from Trader Joe's. Pours a clearish copper with a finger of foam that lingers. Caramel, pine and old malt aromas. Bitter pine resin, toasted caramel. Slightly oxidized. Lingering woody bitterness, twigs. Not my cup of tea. --- Beer merged from original tick of IPA on 04 Apr 2018 at 18:50 - Score: 6. Original review text: Caramel, one and old malt aromas. Pours a hazy orange with no lack of foam and retention of said foam.
Grassy nose that also has hints of tropical fruit. That grows as I take more whiffs.
Grass actually gives way to mango, pineapple and then grapefruit. Pretty bitter I’ll my book. Dank even.
You may ask, what aboot the malt? Well when you are dealing with Sorachi Ace, Citra, Simcoe and Cascade hops, you are pretty much focused on them and try describing what they bring to the table. Cracker? Biscuit? ??
Smooth mouthfeel. Hops linger on my tongue like forever. Initially, I wasn’t that impressed. Til palate familiarity set in. I would drink it again, no problem.
