Before there was Haze, there was Craft Brewed. In 2012, we opened our doors to the city of Nashville intent on bringing people together through the power of great beer. With this idea in mind, we collaborated with our friends at New Heights to bring you a Craft Brewed only IPA to be released in our taproom during our 5-ish Anniversary Party. This anniversary brew is a New England style IPA brewed with Citra and Mosaic hops. We hope that it marks just how far this community has come in such a short time. Cheers and here's to five more years.

Pretty amazing nose on this pint, a huge bouquet of stone fruit, pineapple, mango and lemon-lime, backed up by traces of earth and wet malt. Taste mostly follows suit, except for the unexpected firm bitterness on the back end, a welcome nod to old school West Coast hop-bombs inside a decidedly northeastern IPA. Grows medicinal as it warms, though, and I wish the hops were a tad brighter, but otherwise a very drinkable beer. Pours a hazy gold with a brief fizzy white head and modest lacing. Texture's perky but not quite as smooth as you want in the style. Good, but not a classic.

Can from Craft Brewed and multiple draft pours. Pours a clearish deep gold with a finger of foam that lingers, then dissipates. Dank aromas with peach, apricot, banana and dragonfruit aromas. Smooth on the palate, with a medium prickly pineapple bitterness. Some green tea mid-palate, with dry tropical fruit finish that lingers, some durian in there as well. --- Beer merged from original tick of 5ish Year Anniversary Beer on 26 Mar 2018 at 22:02 - Score: 8
