Songbird Maltina 7% Reddish brown with minimal fizzy beige foam. The aroma is plum, raisins and toffee caramel. The taste is malty but not sour with tobacco leaves, caramel and dried fruits but mostly toffee like malt notes. Kind of underwhelming to be honest so I’m wondering how the spices ramped this up.

Nice stuff. Malt as expected, not so much. Green apples

dark brown cloud color. Big nose of Yuzu, vanilla and dark fruit. Almost reminds me of a dr. Pepper. Very malty, with Yuzu and vanilla everywhere but over done and distracting. This beer has potential but flavors need to be toned down. Glad I am sharing a bottle of this as I don’t think I could drink this on its own.

Poured nice brown, some sediment in the bottle but that is completely normal for a bottle-fermented beer. Relatively low carbonation. Aroma somewhat brisk, prickly taste of alcohol and of course, deep malty base. Some dark fruits and caramel in the taste, nice bitterness balancing it - and alcohol is recognisable as well. Body feels maybe a bit lighter than usual Belgian styles but that is something I like. Had this together with pan-fried steak and worked nicely, great beer to have with food.
