A festival of English flavours featuring spice, nuttiness and caramel, nicely balanced with a mellow hoppiness. Pours dark amber with a deliciously dense creamy head and a warming malt aroma.

500ml bottle as part of a delivery from Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds and drunk at home. Golden brown, clear with a small film of off-white head. Grassy, slightly spicy aroma with lots of toffee. Sweet, bready taste with light hoppy spiciness in the finish. It's quite a delicate beer for the style with gentle grassy bitterness. Slight body, medium carbonation. Pretty good.

Cask-conditioned at the Knights Templar, Bristol 7/10/2019. Brownish in colour, with a moderately-sized, off-white, head. A pleasantly malty strong bitter, with a hint of red berries, leafy hops and moderately bitter finish. Fine.
