1516 Kellerbier was first brewed to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Bavarian Reinheitsgebot (purity law for beer). The first sip of this amber-orange-coloured Kellerbier reveals a touch of caramel. Its fresh and fruity aroma is owed to the chosen hops and accompanied by a pleasant bitterness.

On tap at München, Tartu. Pours hazy golden with a large, white head. Mild malty and quite fruity with slightly grassy and herbal hints. Really fresh, tasty and quite refreshing. Certainly sessionable.

En vaso lager, color anaranjado, turbia, espuma blanco nácar que se mantiene firme no mas allá de cinco minutos, y desaparece dejando un fino anillo. Aroma, un tanto terroso, herbal, cereal, pan, ligero toque especiado. En boca el primer trago es ligeramente dulce, de textura algo sedosa, cuerpo medio, notas de malta, cereal, pan y toques de fruta madura, levadura, desembocando en un final herbal, seco, amargo, con bastante presencia de lúpulo. El trago mejora bastante conforme atempera. Buena cerveza.

Dorada anaranjada de abundante espuma blanca. Nebulosa. Aroma escaso, cereal con nota de acidez. En boca buen punto de gas, cuerpo moderado. Sabor a malta de trigo, notas de naranja, té y tono ligeramente ácido. Se sale del patrón del estilo.

Bottled 500ml. -from Leclerc Ljubljana, shared with hrabren. Unclear golden coloured, medium sized white head, bready yeasty nose. Dusty, bready, grainy, light yeasty and notes of herbs with quite dry finish.
