330ml can from Beerwulf. Poured a slightly hazy straw colour with a short-lived, fizzy white head. The aroma is malt, lemon citrus. The flavour is light sweet, with a light, watery, acidic, coriander, floral lavender aromatic palate. Light bodied with average carbonation.

Pours hazy yellow with a lasting, thin, white head. Aroma of rosewater, lime, coriander, soap, lemon, air freshener, yeast, apricot. Taste is a soapy-sour profile of wheat, lime, lemon & rosewater, sweetish undercurrent of apricot & mandarin, accentuated by coriander & kitchen spices, kept together by a 'generic' bready maltiness. Softly earthy hoppy finish, more apparent cardamom, coriander, lime & soap. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Okay, Witbier with a twist; this might work well paired with some Asian food but I don't like it for 'dégustation'.

330ml bottle. Minimally milky, dark yellow-ish, golden colour with small to average, frothy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Intense, spicy, citrusy fruity, and sweet-ish, wheaty malty aroma, notes of coriander, cardamom, orange peel, some lemongrass. Taste is spicy and citrusy fruity, sweet-ish, wheaty malty, notes of cardamom, coriander, curcuma, some orange peel and lemon peel, a touch of lemongrass and yellow curry. Creamy texture, smooth and super-soft, silky palate. Very nice Wit with Asian twist, strongly spiced but not overdone. Good stuff.

Atypical witbier by this Amsterdam craft brewery, spiced with coriander as usual, but also with cardamom and kaffir (or Thai) lime leaf – an Asian-themed witbier, so to speak; from a fresh growler shared by Craftmember, thanks. Snow white, mousy, opening head irregularly lacing over a warm yellow-golden beer. Aroma very strongly aromatic, the kaffir lime leaves overpowering the rest with an effect even reminiscent of lemon-scented hand soap, cardamom also quite obvious, crackers, peppermint, pine resin, raw green onions, fresh camomile, pumpkin flesh. Crisp, fruity onset, fizzy carbonation, slick and smooth body, bit oily; cracker- and white bread-like, clean maltiness with minerally side notes, strongly aromatized by the kaffir leaves, with an almost shampoo-like effect, while the cardamom and coriander seed spiciness (though certainly there) play minor roles in comparison. Ends very aromatic, citric, tropical and soapy, but clean and refreshing as well. I can imagine many beer drinkers finding this one exaggeratedly perfumey, but I can see this work well in Thai cuisine, for instance – something worth exploring…

1/II/20 - growler @ nieuwjaarsreceptie Gentse Biervereniging, BB: n/a (2020-94) Thanks to everyone for sharing all today’s beers!
Clear pale blond beer, small creamy white head, unstable, dissipates quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: bit soapy, little fruity, some orange peel, grapefruit, more soapy, fruity, nice stuff. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit malty, fruity touch, floral, nice gentle bitterness. Aftertaste: little bitter, fruity touch, some oranges, bit malty, ok but not great.
