Slightly hazy amber. The aroma is toast-accented, but with an unpleasant note. Sweetish with vague caramel but some off-notes. Kind of foul on this visit.

Draft as Lager. A hazy amber beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, yeast, straw, caramel, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, casramel, and bread, as well as lighter notes of straw, leading to a dry strawy finish.

05/03 Draught at the brewpub, as "Lager". It poured red body with small to medium sized off white head. Fine sweetish malty caramel aroma. Slightly sourish flavor, some herbal hops are showing here, but mostly sweetish caramel, some dusty yeast. Medium body with long cloying sweet finish. Maybe too sweet generally, although fine, but again, nothing special.

Draught, 4.8% at the brewpub, shared with heavy, as were all the beers on the trip so I will stop writing this. And where is the apostrophe on the German keyboard?! Anyway. Looked exactly the same as the Märzen, again a surprise. Red-brown body. Dry, slightly roasty malty nose, very light yeastiness. Light dry, slightly roasty, polleny sweetish dunkel. Light acidic aftertaste. Ok but lacks body.
