Started a bit to early on this. To cold. It was actually a bit unpleasant when it was to cold. Changed definitely to the better at right temperature. Clear amber color with a fine off white head. Good lacing. Looks nice this one. Lovely fruity, bready, nutty and malty aroma. Thick nice body. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Smooth fruity, toffee, nutty and malty flavor. Really nice and tasty doppelbock.

Beautiful dark amber color and a thick head that quickly fades. Initial aroma has malt and alcohol. Considerable alcohol in the flavor, some brown sugar; a little fruit and some sugar. Good palate; and overall good beer even if alcohol is somewhat more prominent than I would like. Not quite in the same league as Celebrator; Scheyern; or Andechs, but still very good.

0.5l bottle. Cleer deep ruby body, white head. Aroma of caramel, toast, roast and some floral hops. Taste is very similar to the aroma. Caramel, roast, toast, dark fruits and floral hops. Although the high alchohol is noticeable, it’s still quite smooth for a doppelbock. Very nice.

Botella de 50 cl en el lúpulo tomada en mayo de 2011. lote 35001v hasta 09-2011. color oscuro casi negro con bastante espuma de beige persistente. Cuerpo medio con 8.1 vol que le dan una buena sensación alcohólica. Sabores y aromas maltosos y cereales ligeramente tostados y dulces. Buena, para repetir.

Bottle (2 litres!). Pours cloudy dark amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel, and fruit, with mild notes of hops. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, with pronounced fruity and hoppy notes. Sweetish finish, with mild, hoppy aftertaste. Pleasant creamy mouthfeel. Well balanced A very good Doppelbock!

500ml Flasche. Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel rötlichbraunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr röstmmalzig, schokoladig, fruchtig. Geschmack röstmalzig süß mit leichter Fruchtigkeit, leicht schokoladig.

Bottle on the train from Freising to Regensburg, Bamberg post Christmas jolly day 1. Pours clear, bright orange-gold with a creamy, off-white head. Nice stuff with rich toffee, winter spices, fruit cake, caramel and light, dried fruits. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish with further dried fruits, faint spices, ripe and liquidized fruits. Good one.

Bottle (from Rewe Freising), on the train from Freising to Regensburg, Bamberg post Xmas jolly day 1 - 24/01/14. Clear dark amber with a moderate beige covering that retains. Nose is candied oranges, dark fruits, woody twang, light booze, sugary notes. Taste comprises rich toffee, light spice, dates, brown sugars, hint of booze. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation. Decent D-Bock.
