330ml bottle; part of the six different Fuller's colabs we shared on 30th Jan 2018 at the Shrewsbury beer exchange meeting in Chez Sophie. Copper hue to the amber body, off-white topping. Fairly sweet brew with the Rye flavour to the fore, some caramel flavours also, my sweet tooth liked this a lot.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie. Pours a clear copper, small off-white head. Aroma of nice sweet chestnut malt. Taste has a comforting sweet caramel character, light spice, light malt, rye, a little resin, candy fruits. Tasty.

330ml bottle. Coppery amber brown colour, white foam head leaving some lacing and aroma of juicy fruit, floral hop. Taste is sweet, bready malt, alittle rye & spice, with juicy orange citrus, hints of pine and fruity hop resiny bittermess. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry earthy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle from Waitrose. Deep copper in colour, with a slight, white, head. Sweet floral hop, tangerine and earthy malt aroma. Full bodied mouthfeel, with more robust, slightly spicy malts, some fruity sweetness and a dryish finish. Enjoyable.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at the Waitrose in Canary Wharf. Pours clear copper-amer with a creamy, light khaki head. The aroma holds lightly toasted grains, pine, dried berries, orange peel. Light to medium sweet flavour with ripening citrus character, nice bready malts, whole grains, gooey pine, a few leaves. Medium bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Resinous finish, with more gooey pine character, more ripening citrus fruits, a little orange rind, more toasted whole grains, brown bread, suggestions of leaves and leathery berries. Overall, great stuff for the style. Well balanced.

330ml bottle. Clear reddy amber with a thin off-white head. Aroma is malty, mildly spicy, floral. Taste is sweet, malty, caramel, mildly spicy rye, fruity and floral, moderate bittersweet finish. Medium body, smooth mouthfeel, soft carbonation.

Bottle from Waitrose, as part of the Fullers & Friends pack. Reddish-brown and clear, very little visible carbonation and a wisp of off-white head. Orange peel, toffee and caraway on the nose. Tastes sweet and malt-led, with the rye spiciness asserting itself but not overpowering. Finish is drier and happier. Sweet spice, chestnut, caramel and doughy notes on the aftertaste. A tasty rye beer.

33cl bottle from Waitrose, Sunningdale. A reddish chestnut pour with a loose cream head; aroma of rye with a hint of red fruit; fruity taste with some spicy rye and a floral bitterness. Very drinkable but missing a wow factor.
