A collaboration with the fantastic crew at Deya Brewery , this is a Tropical Stout, brewed with a complex grist of Pilsner malt, Caramalt, Special B, Black malt and Roast Barley which was topped up with 10% dark Muscovado sugar.
Hopping with Columbus, Idaho 7 and Azacca combined with a cool lager fermentation has produced a smooth, rich and roasty beer.

Can from Beer 52. Appearance - jet black and opaque. Big generous fawn head. Nose - orange and melon. Chocolate of course. Light resin. Taste - burnt sugar, brown bread then a contrast of pithiness. Palate - close to medium bodied with a rich but bitter, middle and end. Overall - good.

Tap at Deya Taproom. Pours pitch black with a thick beige head, retained throughout. Aroma of heavy roast malts, caramel, hint of smoke, subtle sugar. Taste follows suit, very roasty and bitter, dark malts, sugary sweetness is there but the roastiness is dominant. Medium-full bodied, smooth and creamy, fine carbonation.
