Can from Beer Zoo. Black body with a thin beige head. Good lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, plum and raisins. Flavour of plum, toffee and a hint of smoke. Thin to medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. It reminded me of Celebrator.

This porter poured a black colour with a soapy, tan coloured head. Minimal lacing. Scents include coffee, burnt caramel and nuts. First swig was smooth and thinner than anticipated. Flavours of coffee, licorice and a little cocoa. Finish is nice and burnt with coffee flavour lingering.

Bottle from RCSS. Pitch black with a large fluffy long lived mocha head that leaves sparse lace. Nose is coffee, licorice, light toffee, hints of vanilla and cherry along with some ash. Lightly sweet with a moderate coffee bitterness and a touch of pepper. Medium slick mouth average carbonation and a smokey finish. 8/4/8-/4-/15

Bottled on 02 12 15, written on back label. Pours a dark brown colour with ruby highlights. Frothy-creamy beige head with good retention and great creamy lacing. Beautiful roasted malt aromas with nutty notes and some coffee, caramel. Watery mouthfeel with some flavours of roasted malts, hops in the middle, hints of dark fruits. The bitterness is well-balanced. The charcoal feel is from the burnt malts, that lingers.
