Kveldens store overraskelse.

330 ml bottle, soon available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.6%. Beautiful clear reddish brown colour, large off-white head. Pleasant aroma of malts, caramel, brown kandij sugar and mild Christmas spices. Relatively light bodied for its strength and style. The flavour is not as sweet as I feared, but has otherwise the same elements as the aroma. Mild spices and very moderate hops in the finish. Please disregard that it is brewed by the biggest brewery corporation in the world - this is a good beer!

Bottle at the Essen Christmas Beer Festival. Poured a clear medium brown colour with a thick bubbly tan head. The aroma is of malt and yeast. The flavour is weak bitter and malty. The palate doesn't exist and the beer lacks body. A poor Xmas beer.

Sampled at OBER Kerstbierfestival 2012. Clear dark amber to red-brown color, small off-white head. Smell malts and grains, lightly sweet. Tastes the same: malts, grains, sweetness. Ok body, medium carbonation. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Bière De Noël / Kerstbier on 01 May 2020 at 19:41 - Score: Appearance - 7 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 7 | Overall - 6. Original review text: Bottle shared at tasting. Clear dark copper to amber color, full side white to off-white head. Aroma is malts, lightly a smoky hint surprisingly, or did I not clean my glass well enough? Flavor is malts, caramelish, caramelized sugars. Lightly dusty. Mwah, not too bad.
