Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Malt, licorice, vegetable notes in the aroma. Seaweed. Malty sweet, roasty flavor with salted licorice. Sweetish, laurel. An odd mix of a doppelbock and a porter. Hard to rate this beer properly.

Taste is slightly sweet and dry boozy, dark malts, burnt caramel, alcohol, grass, licorice, minerals, weeds, roasted grain, coffee. Medium bitterness, slightly dry and watery mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Fläschchen: Very deep amber coloured, presumably hazy, smaller lacy off-white head; sweetish nose of dried fruits, leather and dried cèpes; solid sweet-bitter flavour, surely full bodied; lingering drier and more hoppy finish, dried fruits and leather detectable again. Very good, what else…

33 cl bottle @ home
Aroma has licorice, smoke, leather shoes and some fruitiness. Somewhat smooth palate. Flavour has licorice, smoke, some sharp alcohol, hops and some minerals. The alcohol is a bit too strong here. Definitely not bad still.

Bottle, 0.33l. Cloudy almost black color with thin creamy light brown head and poor lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, leather, plastic, nuts, mushrooms and some earthy notes. Taste starts with sweet caramel and roasted malt, follows by chocolate, licorice and grassy sourness, mouthfeel is warming alcoholic and mild spicy, while finish is bitter. Full body, thick texture and average carbonation in palate. Complex aromas and bold taste...
