16oz can went into a paper cup, but it appeared to be a cola brown, translucent with a thick cap of white head. Nose has malt and milk chocolate. Some coffee, some booze. A little fake. Flavor is cakey, some cola, malt. A touch flabby. It's fine. I liked the creamy body.

Canned at PBF. Black, small head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel and strawberries. Sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and sweet strawberry jam, some chocolate. Mid bitter finish.

12oz can from HalfTime. Dark brown pour, wispy beige head, ring. Aroma is chocolate with light roast. Taste comes in sweet, overly sweet. Too sweet, even the chocolate notes disappear. Off to a great start, but the taste killed it. Sweetness lingers too, not in a good way.

12 ounce can. Nearly opaque black brown color. Large rocky tan head. Roasted malt aroma has chocolatey notes. Flavor is tangy, roasted malt. Hints of soy sauce, Cocoa Puffs, malted milk and Tootsie Roll. Big letdown from my previous beer(Dogfish Head Utopias Barrel Aged World Wide Stout). Okay, but a bit waning in terms of flavor and complexity.

At the source: pours reddish black with a white head. Aroma is roast coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is kind of sweet. Pretty nice. Easy to drink. Not too complex. Nice aftertaste. Respectable.

at a tasting, small quickly disapearing bubbly head, bubbly head, quite opaque dark brown color, old stale bread and grains aroma with a hint of candy, flavor of metal, soy and acidic malt, sour and light bodied. Really bad.
