Bottle @ home, picked up at Argonaut Denver a few months back. Pours a black appearance with a slight thin dark brown head. Aroma is creamy, earthy, chocolatey, and smooth coffee. Medium bodied. Creamy mouth feel. Moderate bitterness and sweetness. Some booze. Flavor is dark chocolate, lots of roast, and earthy coffee. A bit thin bodied. Not as good as some other versions but this is still pretty good. 2013 version.

Bomber (noted 1/2013)from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark brown/black with a somewhat fizzy dark tan head. Aroma is gritty coffee with some definite bourbon showing through. Full bodied or nearly. Flavor is coffee, followed by bourbon/vanilla, followed by a little, very little, heat, followed by coffee, followed by gullet burn. This is the sort of coffee suggesting coffee grounds. Flavors are all rather strong. Excellent.

Bottle shared by Mike - thanks! Pours opaque black with a small brown head that dissipates fairly quickly and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is coffee, a bit stale, vanilla, roasted malts, coconut, bourbon. Flavor is the same, light sweet and medium bitter. Medium body.

Bottle, big thanks to Kenny. It pours filthy black with a decent tan head. The nose is rich, roasted malt, indulgent coffee, cocoa, toast, earth, toffee and touch of vanilla. The taste is bitter-sweet initial, then roasted malt, coffee, toast, chocolate, dirt, some alcohol warmth, toasty sugars, wood and vanilla with a slick finish. Full body, fine carbonation and viscous mouth-feel. Nice depth and surprisingly drinkable. Another Impy stout winner from FiftyFifty.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to krazy Ken. Well, here it is, 10k. Pours rich, black-brown with a frothy beige head. Great aroma, lots of rich coffee in the nose, baking cocoa, overarching roast. Medium to big sweet flavor with nice, rounded coffee character, some torched wood, old raisins, baking cocoa, some scorched earth bitterness. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, loads more hefty coffee, rich dark chocolate, bittersweet baking cocoa. Good depth. Great beer. (Score: 4.2, rated as 10k on 9 May 2014.)
Bottle shared during the RBESG 2014 London Grand Tasting - Moncada Brewery. Pours black as hell with a creamy beige head. Rich with thick coffee character, oily chocolate. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming on the finish with some torched earth bitterness to offset the rich chocolate, along with baking cocoa and tar. Decadent, lovely. (Score: 4.1)

Catch up rating from notes, 2014: Taster at annual Imperial Stout share, courtesy of Darrell. Pours out a an oily black/mahogany, small tight beige head. Aroma is full of rich notes, chocolate, coffee, caramel, some sweetness, whiskey barrel. Taste is roasty and sweet, molasses, bitter, boozy. Nice slick, smooth feel. Excellent! .
