Bottle - Vintage 2013 - Lots of nice mellow chocolate and balanced coffee. Jet black with a light brown head. Chocolate, light bourbon, coffee and a touch of heat. Long chocolate finish with just a touch of coffee. Very mellow and nicely balanced,

2/2013. Purple Wax - Brewed with honey. Thanks to Meilby/Yngvar for the trade. Cheers fellas. Pours black with a creamy beige head and lacings. Nose is soy, coffee and roast. Flavor is sweet with good coffee, soy, roast and mild alcohol. Very smooth , syrupy and soft - full bodied. Sweet - yet quite sippable and tasty!

Bottle shared at the RBESG 2014, grand tasting 09/08/2014. Big thanks to Bruce for this one. Clear dark caramel brown / black coloured pour with a relucant loose tan head. Atoma is hot roast, rich dark choc, with hints of coffee, Flavour is full and rich, coffee, berry, coffee bean, smooth rich choc. Roast is lightly ashy. Palate is full bodied, smooth, highish carbonation. Very tasty.

Bottle. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma is coffe, bourbon, roasted malt, cocos, vanilla, chocolate. Flavour is coffee, roasted malt, bourbon, cocos, chocolate, alcohol, licorice. full body. Pleasent and a very nice beer.

Bottle shared at RBESG 2014 Grand Tasting. Dark brown to black color, average to medium sized beige head. Aroma and taste are malts, liquor, bourbon, slightly sweet, roasty, coffee. Lovely, oily texture, full body, medium to full carbonation.

2013 Bottle drank during RBESG; dark brown pour with a thin light tan head, quality coffee aroma, taste has intense coffee, chocolate, dark fruits, nice smooth mouthfeel, just the right amount of carbonation for a beer like this, stand out beer of the evening.

Bottle grand tasting RBESG14. Black beer lasting tan head. Strong coffee aroma. Bitter dark chocolate and espresso coffee. Smooth in mouth. Lots of coffee but pretty balanced. Bit of heat on finish. Good coffee. Bit of heat.
