Occupying a magical place between a bitter and a porter, this is a pale bronze pint with the sweetness and chocolate notes you'd expect of a much darker ale.

On cask at Monty’s Bar. Appearance - golden amber with a nice fluffy head. Nose - burnt bread. A hint of lemon. Light toffee. Taste - more toffee andbiscuits but not much citrus this time. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture. Dry crunchy almost astringent finish. Overall - hard work.
