U.S. hopped pale ale using one of the first American hops to grace our shores, often neglected now due to newer varieties, we love this hop and the unique citrus qualities it puts into beer.

Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester as part if their North Riding TTO. Deep golden and clear, with a large white head. Sweet fruited aroma, like candied orange peel, with a light vegetal note in the background. This vegetal note is more pronounced in the taste, with notes of cress and celery among with bitter Cascade. Bitter hoppy finish but the cress doesn't really leave. Flat body. Struggled with this one a bit.

Clear golden color with a small white head on top. Ok intensity in the aroma with an ok hop profile. Medium body and a soft carbonation level. Tad sweet and a decent bitterness. Malty, fruity and citric hoppy flavor. Ok session able beer at the pub.

Cask at the Euston Tap, West Lodge, 13/04/17. Clear golden with a well appointed egg shell white head that retains very well - a stunning beer visually and full glass lacing ensues. Nose is rather thin, light citric peel, straw, melon, faint hops. Taste comprises pale malts, bread, lemon rind, grains, straw. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Good looker, good condition, just nothing at the business end, barely musters reverse off the drive let alone getting out of first gear !!!

16th February 2017
Chelmsford Winter Beer Fest (with Rune, Rasmus, Saxo and Camons) @ KEGS. Cask. Clear gold beer, small bubbly white head. Palate is light and dry with decent fine carbonation. Sweetish malts. Candy fruits. Good citric bitterness in a floral sweet backdrop. Mild marmalade. Light floral finish. Not bad.
