From wooden cask (gravity) @ #MBCF20, [ Manchester Beer & Cider Festival 2020 ], Manchester Central Convention Complex, Windmill St, Petersfield, M2 3GX Manchester, Great Manchester, England.

[ As Three Kings Dark Side of the Toon ].
ABV: 4.1%. Clear medium red brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt, wood. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, dark malt, roasted, wood. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20200123]

From wooden cask, third shared with Finn at Manchester Beer & Cider Festival, Wood Bar. Coal black body, beige low head, fair lacing. Creamy dark malty nose. Flavoured with chocolate and coffee. Short ending, lightly roasted. Medium to thin bodied. Easy drinking stout. (2nd day of the festival, 23.01.2020).

Fra trefat på Manchester Beer & Cider Festival 2020. Delt med flere. Svart. Luftig mokkafarget skumring. Lakrisaroma. Smaken sjokolade & lakris. Tørr avslutning.

Balck with quick fading head. Aroma and flavour have a lot of roasted ashy bitter malts. Delicate raisin fruitiness too.

6/6/2018. Cask at the Cumberland Arms, Ouseburn, Newcastle. Pours maroon brown with a lasting beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, wood, coffee, caramel and hints of citrus, liquorice and berries. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, slight creamy texture, very soft carbonation. Dry finish. Decent brew.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 7/4/2018. Dark brown in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Dark fruits, some liquorice, toasty malts, and moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Tried at the Peterborough Beer Festival 2017. Dark brown colour with a tan head. Aroma is malty, liquorice and some nuts. Taste is light sweet. Full body.

Cask at the Peterborough beer Festival 2017. A dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a halo of light tan head. Aroma is sweaty hay, charcoal, thatched cottage. Flavour is composed of dark roast, rustic roast, charcoal, tangy finish. Palate is medium light, rounded, biting roast bitterness. Not bad.
