Borne from a robust combination of Polish Lubliner, American Chinook hops and lager malts, our IPL is irresistibly thirst-quenching and packs a striking twice dry-hopped aroma. Refreshing and mellow, this cold fermented rarity is still undoubtedly full of character.

This was actually a bit of a pleasant surprise. I was expecting a crisp but unremarkable lager but it actually has a decent hoppy touch to it and a nice, smooth caramel edge to it too. Not a heck of a lot else and it won't be setting the world ablaze but it's very quaffable.

Bottle. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of grass, steel and pear. Flavour of grain, herbs and bitter hops. Thin body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Simple but nice.

Bottle from Bridgend Services. It pours clear golden - amber with a medium white head. The aroma is toasty grain, buttered white bread, cereal, and wet grass. The taste is crisp, dry, soapy citrus, grass, grainy, metallic twang, creamed, corn, quite green and cabbage with a dry, grainy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty messy. Grainy and green veg character is not what I want in a beer.

Bottle from the brewery. Appearance - golden with a thin head. Nose - orange and apricot and grainy. Taste - light off note around boiled vegetables at the start. Then grainy again. Palate - light bodied and a bit astringent. Overall - something not quite right with this.
