(Bottle) Brownish amber colour with brief, beige head. Malty, slightly boozy, nose with notes of dried fruit, figs, dates, oak wood, rum, caramel, honey, vanilla, hazelnuts and chocolate. Malty, vinous, sweetish taste with dried fruit, figs, dates, oak wood, rum, vanilla, caramel, syrup, hazelnuts, sweet liquorice, cinnamon, chocolate and a mild spicy bitterness in a warming finish. Almost full body, sweet. Rich, strong and warming, with a good splash of rum. Very nice.

Bottle 250ml @ Cunningham. Pours hazy amber with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruit and toffee. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long warm, toffee, caramel and dried fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

Bottle, 25cl, shared by Cunningham. An almost flat, almost still one, just some beige bubbles. Lightly hazy deep chestnut colored. Toffee, brown sugar, oak, booze, some spiced hints and some hints of chocolate. It's warming and full bodied, softly carbonated and quite sweet, but with a good bitterness. Toffee, oak, brown sugar and some chocolate and vanilla in the flavor. Lasting finish. Really delicious this one. 240726

Flaska från SB. Årgång 2015. Relativt klar, bärnstensfärgad/kopparröd med smutsvit krona. Doft och smak av sockersötma, sockervadd, rörsocker, snäll vanilj- och kokoston förutom tonerna från grundölen. Väldigt snäll fatton och tycker mest romen verkar ge en skjuts i sötma utan att bidra med så mycket mer smak. Helt ok, men inte mycket mer tyvärr.

Bottle bought @ Systembolaget. Deep golden pour with a small frothy tan head. Toffee malts & plenty of rum barrel in the nose. Bread, caramel, vanilla, coconut, burnt sugar & arrack. Sweet, tiny bitter, malty & fruity. Round & tiny boozy mouthfeel. Soft malt & quality rum finish. Very drinkable barley wine with well incorporated barrel.
