Bottled. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of oranges, peaches, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, peaches, oranges, malt, and straw, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 65 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a small, rough white head. Very sweet fruity aroma. Pours thick and rich like sweet peach syrup, a little yeast and phenols, very fruity with a warming alcohol finish. Subdued hops. 100912

Aroma: The nose of this one has some funky yeast, spice/clove, and some citrus/orange
Appearance: Pours a cloudy golden-orange color with a small, fizzy head that leaves spotty lace
Flavor: The flavor is medium sweet, mostly malt, fruit, and spice flavors, with some subtle underlying funk
Palate: The body is medium (leaning light), average carbonation, a nice feel, and a lightly spicy finish
Overall Impression: This one had exactly 100 rating, well, someone had to screw that up, might as well be me! As for the beer, I enjoyed it. They did a nice job here, this one had a lot going on and some interesting complexity. Definitely worth trying.

Sample at the House Wine EPIC beer tasting on 04/18/2012: Pours a cloudy orange-yellow color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. The aroma contains fruits and spices as well as a bit of yeast. Medium body with flavors of sweet fruit, mildly spiced hops, malt and yeast. The finish is fruity with a lightly hopped aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle, batch #23 (a good batch number for American made BGSAs). Pours with a hazed golden hued body with a large and lasting white head that stays. Tight bubbles, good lace. Aromas of isoamyl acetate (banana esters), mildly musty, black pepper, apple, clove, alcohol, phenols (complex and strong). Bready and biscuity malt, macaroons, elderflower, light hops (floral and spicy), good smelling Belgian Golden Strong. Smells like fresh Duvel; pretty textbook. Flavors are a touch sweet (possibly a bit too much at the start). Bready, biscuity, mild esters, herbal hops up front, yeast notes that are mostly phenolic (peppery) and a bit musty. Tastes like a Duvel clone to me. Clove, dry pear and orange peel. Medium-lively bubbles, dry, mildly fruity, lower body. Pretty much spot on for the BJCP version of the style; tastes like Duvel.

Tap at Crank n Stein in Fort Collins - a fairly sweet Belgian, with strong banana notes, light pepper and some starchy notes - hints of pepper and boiled rice - quite sweet and strongly peppery - meh.
