Keg at Mikkeller Shoreditch, 08/11/18. Murky brown with a handsome light beige cap. Nose is tangy fruit shreds, oak, funk, dried fruits, light spice. Taste comprises dark fruit rinds, orange marmalade peel, oak, funk, pissy twang, prunes, berry notes, earthy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid work.

Mikkeller Shoreditch, Keg. Hazy brown beer, small pale tan head. Light and fairly dry palate, decent fine carbonation. Typical oud bruin fruity tang, quite tart, never sour. Not much red wine vibe here. Smooth and semi dry finish. Pretty drinkable.

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of hops, straw, fruit, and brettanomyces. The flavor is sweet with notes of fruits, spices, malt, and brett, leading to a dry finish.

From tap. Pours clear and golden orange, huge off white head. Aroma is funky, fruity and slight leathery. Bitter, crisp hoppy. Leathery and slight herbal. Bretty and smooth fruity. Dry and solid hoppy finish.

On tap at Local Barrel. Pours a cloudy yellow orange with medium off white head that lasts. The aroma is yeast, floral, mineral. Medium body, fruity, yeast, clove, tart, very good.

Draft. Light amber beer with a whitish head. Tart and light sour aroma with light yeast. Tart and yeast flavor with light spice. Medium bodied. Tart and yeast lingers with light spice.

Growler pours with a hazy opaque deep gold body that supports a white head. The aroma offers up a nice rich mix of citrus fruitiness, spicy yeastiness and then some mild floral hoppiness in the background. The taste is similar where the citrus notes marry up to the spicy Saison like yeast notes and Noble hops into a harmonious dance of flavors. This is a tasty combination richness, freshness, balance and snappy refreshing goodness. I love how this stays light and refreshing from front to back. Wonderful Saison.
