Bottle picked up at Aldi, Inverurie. It pours hazy deep brown with a small beige head. The aroma is rich, sweet, malt - driven, fudge, toffee, fruit loaf, eccles cake, toasty malts and sugar plum. The taste is bitter - sweet, rich malty action, loads of dark fruit, plum, date, toasty, earth, fruit loaf, clove, earthy roast and a bit of toffee with a dry, fruity finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. I was pretty impressed with this one. Fruity and moreish. A tasty Scotch ale.
