A perfect beverage to relax with after a long day on the slopes, this extremely pleasant to drink ale has very minimal hop addition. The delicate Mt. Hood hops give it a smooth body with a bit of nuttiness and a slightly sweet malt at the end. This sessionable ale has some wonderful vanilla and honey notes that are well balanced throughout the drink.

Bomber. This style is extremely hard to find where I live, believe it or not. Pours hazy golden orange with a small collapsing white head. Aroma is bready malt, vanilla, faint hops. Taste is sweet and a bit tart with only a hint of bitterness in the finish. Has a somewhat nutty flavor. Simple and easy going down.

Release 6: Aroma is garbanzo beans. Clear amber, thin head. Weak hay flavor, a little metallic.Thin, but not without body. I had this over a month ago and thought it was nice. This, not so much. Short shelf life.

Crisp deep copper coloured body with a peach glow and a thick, dense, three centimetre tall tan head - this is much more like an IPA or an APA in terms of appearance than any mild I’ve ever had. Aroma of malt, yeast, bread, bananas, a touch of hops and more malt. Medium-bodied; Sharp malty flavour with some yeast notes, a little light spices and a good herbal and almost mineral taste. Aftertaste shows a bit of a simplistic vibe - the herbal and light malt notes are evident, and very little else. Overall, a decent beer - different than most milds I’ve had, and refreshingly easy to drink, given it’s large format. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 09-October-2011 for US$3.99 sampled at home in Washington on 06-November-2011. Release #6, at 5.0% abv

22 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA, opened 3/28/11. Pours a clear copper color with a medium tan creamy head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel and very faint stone fruits. The taste is bready notes, toasted malts, plums and other fruits, caramel. Medium bodied. The ABV isn’t what I’d call a mild ale, but its still a pretty nice beer.

22oz bottle. Poured a clear medium-orange color with a large white head. Aroma was biscuit, malts, hops. Flavor was light, sweet malts, biscuit. Was pretty decent, well priced bomber.

22oz bomber. Clean and easy. Orange-tan. Oily head. Smooth, clean malt tones, some mellow herbal hop tones. Quite well balanced. Nothing like an English Mild, but a very nice session beer.

22 oz bottle I got in a trade. Copper color, Small white head with light lace. Nose malt and hops. Taste is the same. A bit on the sweet malt side. A light tingle on your tongue with a dry finish. A nice Mild Ale.

Courtesy of douglas88. Thanks! The bomber pours clear deep gold with off white head. The aroma offers up spicy hops, wheat bread, some caramel and earthiness. The taste is a mix of earthy hops, citrus like hops, malts and caramel malts that all seem to slide into the finish unchanged. Full flavored Mild with loads of body for the style.

Bomber at Churchkey. Murky amber color, large tan head. Aroma of orange peel and malt. Taste is lightly bitter with light spice. Incredible body. Not really a mild ale, but still a tasty twist on an ESB.
