American Saison Ale (Smokestack Series)
When our brewers were experimenting with variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in fermenter number seven. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a big surge of fruity aromatics and grapefruit-hoppy notes, the flavor of this complex, straw-colored ale tapers off to a peppery, dry finish.
With its balance, carbonation, and complex flavor profile, Tank 7 is one of the ultimate food-pairing beers in existence. But don't just take our word for it, esteemed chefs from around the country agree. We've sat down with a bunch of them and asked them seven questions over a Tank 7.

Heavy carbonation but great foamy head, gold body. Strong aroma of cereal and hay, barn funk kinda thing but not layered just out there, some banana and coriander too. Flavour is soft cloying peach with heavy alcohol, syrupy even. Big strong beer but comes off as a little overbearing. Will still drink tho.

Sample from draft at Johnny's in Castricum (with Jan and Wilma). Light yelow color, white head, a very nice taste. I didn't expect this high abv in this beer.
