Our in-house collab with Brussels Beer Project and an innovative take on the Scotch ale style. 13 different grains add layers of complexity with combinations of caramel, toast and tobacco-like notes from peated malt. The roasted and subtle smoked flavours are balanced with honey. Scottish Ale yeast used gives rise to raisin, Dundee cake-like and stone-fruit flavours that works in harmony with the honey to give this beer it's sweetness and warmth.

Keg at the hanging bat. Pours deep ruby, nose is caramel, varnish, berries, taste is rich, fruity, biscuity, light smoke.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark brown pour with a creamy tan head, aroma has some earthy wood action along with some dark berries, taste has sweet toffee, some tobacco smoke, hint of honey, mellow dark fruits, quite full bodied.

Bottle shared at the Bottle Shop - Bermondsey. Cheers! Pours clear reddish brown with a frothy, khaki head. Lots of dried berries in the nose, maybe faint smoke, burnt caramel. Medium sweet flavour with lots of brown bread, fruitcake, faint ash, a little earthy bitterness. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderately sweet in the finish, with more dried fruits, toasted brown bread, restrained smoke. Fun stuff.

Bottle split at the bottle shop druid Street. A clear copper nut brown coloured pour with loose of beige head. Aroma is semi sweet nutty malts, brown sugars, earthy, hint of maple, raisin bread. Palate is medium sweet, moderate carbonation, sticky, cakey. . Flavour is composed of semi sweet malts, layered malt, nutty toffee, peat smoke, tcp, maple. Good malty drink.
