Bottle at cgarvieuk tasting. Appearance - cloudy yellow with a very thin head. Nose - funky and oaky. Taste - tangy lemon and whisky with wood at the back again. Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - more agreeable than most of the others bit still the principles of adding average strength beers to whisky barrels does bother me.

Bottle from Islay Ales. It pours clear gold with a small white head. The nose is smoked peat, leather, bacon, toffee and vanilla in background. The taste is earth, peat, smoke, hay, medicinal notes, TCP, sweet fruit, tangy berry and a touch of alcohol with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Good depth of flavour. This is Islay ales most interesting beer to date.
