12oz bottle thanks to Toby. Pours out a crisp amber topped with a sand head. Nose is pit fruit rich malts spice and a nice sweetness. Taste is more of the pit fruit sweetness and rich malts with a little spice.

Pour is a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is dark fruit on buttery dark bread. Flavor is something like an unsweetened raison bread. You get a bit of the dark fruit but also a decent drying bready feel. There is a bit of caramel felt after the swallow but not enough to be overly sweet. I don’t have many dobblebocks but I would this one would be high on my list just for the dark fruit flavor alone.

Poured from bottle nice amber red color with a thin head. Aromas of bread dark fruit flowers and caramel. Taste is rich and creamy dark fruit caramel slightly sweet with a nutty alcohol finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Troegenator Doublebock on 11 Mar 2016 at 21:50 - Score: 8

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Leary’s, Newburyport, MA. Aroma is bready malt with caramel, red wine. Appearance is clear red with nice sparkle, small 1/2 finger-width head with poor retention and trace lacing. Taste is rich sweet malts with caramel, vanilla. Palate is full bodied with thick texture, average carbonation and malty finish with just a splash of bitterness and mild warmth in the esophagus and stomach. Overall, good representative of the style and very good.

Slightly hazy dark amber. Small, frothy light beige head. Aroma has malt syrup, honey and dried fruit. Similar flavour, alcohol, sweetness and bitterness nicely balanced. Gets very fruity, almost cherry-like. Finish is quite alcoholic.

Pours a hazy brown from a bottle. Aroma is boozy cherry cordial. Flavor is the same with a slight nutty bitterness and a hint of anise. Alcohol burn at the end. Good beer.
