A generous portion of crystal malt, gives this lightly hopped deep amber ale a full, malty flavour, with a hint of caramel and a slightly toasted, nutty aroma from the roast barley in the recipe.

Bottle from Baxters Whisky Shop, Fochabers. It pours deep brown with a medium off-white head. The aroma is brown bread, cereal, toasted nuts, and dull caramel. The taste is smooth, malt - driven, caramel, brown bread, fruit cake, toasted nuts and cereal with a dry finish. Light - medium body and fine carbonation. A fairly OK mild ale.
