Keg at Ushers. It pours darkest brown / black with a small tan head. The aroma is earthy roasted malts, charred wood, big liquorice character, coffee and riesen chocolate chew. The taste is rich roast, toast, coffee grounds, liquorice, cacao nibs and a touch of ash with a dry, roasted finish. Light - medium body and moderate carbonation. Tasty session stout.

On keg at Ushers. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - dark chocolate and coffee. Sweetness like tiramisu. Taste - nuts, toffee and dark chocolate. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry nutty finish. Overall - I would’ve struggled to spot the Belgian yeast in this. A session strength Dubbel I suppose. It broadly falls into a Mild style apart from that.
