To celebrate Burns and to help beat the January blues we have our Rabbie Burns beer for sale in the Black Bull. It is named after one of our favourite, if lesser known works. The sentiment we believe it is saying is “put a spring in your step” So get on down to the Black Bull pub and get a “Cock up your Beaver.”

On cask @ SRAF. Golden with some head. Candy sugar and toffee on nose and taste. A bit too sweet to be balanced.

Bottle from the brewery courtesy of dad (cheers dad) consumed at home Wednesday 29th March 2017 Hazy dark amber with a white head. Quite traditional in looks and tasting, however it’s a good effort even if I hate the name and am not struck on the style. Plenty of caramel, toffee and a fruity bitter bite, little bit one dimensional, touch thin, but fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1
