Bottle at home, picked up at RMW. It pours cloudy orange - amber with a thick, foamy off-white head. The aroma is bread, wheat, spicy, floral, fruit crumble and berry skin. The taste is crisp, dry, soft fruity vibe, fruit crumble, citrus peel, floral, slightly soapy, Turkish delight and spice with a dry finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. I like the idea, but it is a touch muddled. Carbonation Is a bit too high also. Overall it’s not bad, but I had hoped for more.

Bottle from Appellation Wines, Dalry Road. Hair of the dog after an evening of excess. What with all the added ingredients this is basically a health drink. Pours hazy red - tinged amber with a thick just off-white head. Aromas of spicy wheat beer yeast, just about get the elderflower underneath that. Faint fruit too. Taste brings the lemon, more fruit, white bread. Creamy texture. Clean finish.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - amber with a nice fluffy head. Unfortunately loads of yeast in the last bit of the pour. Nose - pine, lemon and sour wheat. Taste - tangy wheat and elderflower is coming through now. Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish Overall - this is very interesting. It’s also very challenging and therein lies the interest.

Bottle from Bottle Baron. Murky orange/brown body with a thick off-white head. Good lacing. Aroma of brown bread, lemon peel and dried orange peel. Flavour of biscuit, watermelon and a tart berry finish. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Lively fizz. A tangy, interesting wheat beer.
