Svart med lavt flyktig beige skum. Lukter svisker, kakaopulver, kaffe og noe alkohol. Hallo her var det mye på gang. Fyldig. Smaker søtt, sviske og mørke frukter. Salt lakris. Alkoholen er absolutt til stede. Lite kullsyre, men føles sprudlende likevel. Smakene sitter lenge. Salt og alkohol sittet lengst. Nøgne ø, mer av dette!!!

Bottle 330ml @ My parent’s place
Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, alcohol, vanilla, bourbon, oak, licorice and dried fruits. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, roasted, chocolate, vanilla, oak, dried fruits and licorice finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

24.12.2015, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly rich and dry, dark malts, bark, minerals, oak, alcohol, licorice, dark sugar, burnt caramel, grass, weeds. Taste is slightly sour-ish boozy, bark, minerals, whisky, grass, oak, dark malts, dark sugar, weeds, licorice, burnt caramel. Medium bitterness, slightly sour-ish mineraly mouthfeel. Nice, but it needs time in the cellar...

33 cl bottle at Haket (Göteborg) on December 18, 2015. Thanks to a friend (non-ratebeer) for sharing the bottle! Brewed 22.08.12, Batch 858.The price of this one was rather steep, I’ve paid more for a bottle of beer, but not many times.Clear dark red to black color, very small to pretty much no head, the small bubbles that do appear dissipates very fast. Leaves some thick long slow legs on the side of the glass speaking of the high alcohol, looks very pretty. Raisin, alcohol, soy, malty, salty, light roasted, tiny hints of smoke, some cocoa/chocolate scent. Salty, raisin, sweet, malty, alcohol taste. Raisin, sweet, alcohol aftertaste. Full smooth mouthfeel, low to very low bitterness.Smooth, mellow, very enjoyable. Though rather happy the bottle got split 4 ways, in parts due to the very high alcohol, in parts since this is more to a dessert wine or a port than a beer in the drinkability and general character, so I really wouldn’t want to sit with a full bottle myself in one sitting. When reading the text on the bottle and the paper box reacted to the fact that I did not actually feel any whisky or oak/wood/barrel qualities that stood out in this one. I guess that just makes it well balanced, well made and to my taste? Surprisingly the 20% ABV are very well hidden.

Bottle at Beer Ditch, Malmö. Black with a minimal tan head. Aroma of whisky, vanilla, oak, dark fruit, ash, licorice and some caramel. Similar taste. Sweet and with low carbonation. Almost full body and with warmimg alcohol in the finish. A very nice one, I would love to try this again in a couple of years.

Bottle 0.33l at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Brygget 22.08.12. Batch nr: 858. Colour is deep black with very small brownish head. Aromas and flavours: Some chocolate, distant hints of coffee, vanilla, wood, dryness, some alcohol, whiskey and vineous elements. Warming, makes my cheeks red but throat is burning. Lingering and aroma is very strong. Positive surprise because I thought this would be booze bomb.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Pikkulintu, 20151120) The beer poured black. Its head was small and nearly white. Aroma had vanilla, wood, whisky, booze and sweetness. Palate was full bodied and warming with low carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, burnt malts, vanilla, booze, wood, ash and bitterness. Afteraste was boozy, woody and sweet. An iteresting and expensive experiment. A bottle split by four persons was more than enough.
