This is what I like to call Australian strong. Almost 15% just smacks of all the flavor. It even broke my bottle opener.

Bottle @ Ratebeer Odense, Early Summer Extravaganza EURO Warm Up. Pours amber copper with a bubbly head and lace.Deep vinous nose. Vanilla and caramel. Crackers. Smooth, oily and vinous.
Hazy amber with a lasting white head. Aroma of toffee and dried fruit with a touch of alcohol. Sweetish fruity and malty flavour with a somewhat thin mouthfeel.

Lovely smooth barrel aging. Woody, fruity, port'y. Sweet with a dry woody aftertaste. Easy drinking.

Tasting at Matt’s
Dark amber color, small to no head. Aroma of malt, caramel, some fudge, sweet, some alcohol. Sweet mouthfeel, good malt flavor, a bit too much alcohol (is this the whiskey barrel), round feeling from the barrel, possibly some raisins (Pedro Ximenez?), and thinner in the end.
Would be better if ticking a 2% ABV less, but good as is anyway.

Bottle. This is cloudy, medium amber, and without a head. The aroma has an oxidized character, old and dusty, with sweet malts and a dash of alcohol. Tastes mostly like an oxidized, sweet old bw. Was probably better once upon a time, but at tihis point tastes like any dusty random bw from my cellar.

330ml bottle at Matt’s. Pours a hazy amber with a beige head. Aroma is leather, candied fruits, barrel. Taste is bakery spices, leather notes, candied fruits, whiskey, boozy. Very complex and interesting.

330mL bottle, pours a cloudy opaque dark reddish amber with a small beige head. Nose is very complex, with lovely notes of caramel, whiskey, wood, and a touch of dark fruits. Flavour is intense, with viscous caramel notes, light whiskey, and brown sugar. Not terribly well-integrated, but it's certainly quite complex. Sweet, boozy and a nice slow sipper. Not as good as the preliminary ratings, but it's certainly solid.
