Clean, crisp and perfectly balanced describes this classic bitter, crafted using pure mineral water and home grown ingredients. A traditional pale ale rich in malt, fruit and biscuit character, complemented by a satisfying bitter finish.

On cask at Holy Inadequate, Etruria - nice golden look, white lacing head, good start. Bit of a biscuity taste, nice lasting finish, cereal nose. Altogether a decent pint to start the year.

This is becoming a regular guest beer in my area and is always well recieved: this review is from 5th April 2012, a hand pulled pint in the excellent brewery owned ’Royal Oak’, Eccleshall. Comes a lovely bright amber colour with a full lasting crown of off-white foam, lacing all the way down the glass (on all pints I’ve had in three different pubs). Rich flavours of malty goodness in the nose and the taste: caramel biscuits wrapped in a toffee apple shell. I like a sweeter brew and this fits beautifully into my ’like bracket’. Really pleased this brewery has been revived and I’ll support it when ever I see their beers.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 08/09/2011. Deep gold with a slight, off-white head. A touch of fruit, biscuit malts and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.
