Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark brown pout with a frothy dark tan head, quite a big dark fruit aroma, taste has dark fruit along with some dark roast malt, along with some coffee, foraged dark berries, impressive blue bottle, nice carbs in the mouthfeel, quite a boosty Abv.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear, very dark, chestnut brown. Film of messy, sticky, tan head. Rich, roast coffee, and chocolate malts. Sorachi really comes through, and lends a nicely balanced, sweet fruitiness. On top of that there’s a slight smoky, stewed plum thing going on. Smells great. Taste is dark chocolate sweet. Some light dry, before turning pretty hefty bitter. Soft, smooth palate. No hint of the ABV. Finishes long, fruity, coffee bean bitter. The Sorachi in this is pitched perfectly. Best Steel City beer I’ve had, I reckon.
