Quite dark brown to black colored, strong creamy tan head, decent lasting. Aroma is of caramel, chocolate and roasted malts and medium strong floral and citrus hoppiness. Taste is low to moderate sweet, caramel and dark chocolate with a roasty finish. Medium bitterness, medium strong hop aroma, pungent citrus and floral. Dark chocolate and citrus aftertaste. Medium+ bodied, moderate carbonation, bit creamy.

Keg at CASC. It pours jet black with a decent beige head. The nose is rich roast, earthy, cocoa, liquorice, black forest gateaux, chocolate ice-cream and coffee. The taste is bitter, rich roast, charry, earthy, toasty, citrus rind, rich coffee, mild acidity, dark chocolate, blackcurrant jam, mild acidity and some peppercorn with a dry, rich roaste finish. Medium body and derate carbonation. Pretty punchy and flavoursome stuff. Very decent stuff.
