The thing about First Frontier is the hops. Easy… This is an IPA “the American way”, no sticky-sweet malt profile, just the real deal potent and aromatic hops. The result is a refreshingly dry, fresh and bitter IPA, heavily dryhopped with the three American hop varieties warrior, simcoe and centennial, dealing a punch of citrus, peach and grapefruit from the deepest of our hearts directly to ya face. Just added a bit of caramel malt; merely to harness and balance the alcohol.
”We all got pieces of crazy in us, some bigger pieces than other”

Again, shared with Hrabren and Habek. Yay! Poured a murky deep golden body with an off white head that stayed there for awhile. Lovely fresh aroma, peachy, fruity, hoppy and general. Only medium sweetness (yaaay!), not excessive bitterness. Superbly executed, very balanced and simply put damn tasty IPA.

330ml bottle from Brewdog online store. Golden orange colour, frothy white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of malt caramel, floral fruity, citrus, hoppy. Taste is malt caramel balanced with fruity hop resin notes and spicy, pine & grapefruit bitterness. Smoothish mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry spicy bitter finish. Very drinkable.

Bottled 330ml. -from Svijet Piva Zagreb. Golden coloured, medium sized white to off-white head, whiff of caramel in the nose. Sweet malty, fruity, fresh hoppy and touch of alcohol with dry hoppy finish. Again not bad at all.

Bottle from Hop Leaf at home. Hazy golden orange pour with dense frothy head. Aroma is pleasant pear/peach hops. Taste is not too bitter, tart and hoppy. With the same not too ripe peachy flavors. Lingering bitterness. Thin but smooth palate. Really pleasant but not too boring IPA.

From a 330ml bottle on 17/2/2015. Pours a cloudy medium golden with a big fluffy white head. The nose is lovely - oodles of tropical and stone fruit with lots of honey notes topping it off. The flavour follows suit, with lots of sweet passionfruit, lychee, mango, peach and apricot, with bucket loads of honey in the middle. While a very sweet IPA, there’s enough lingering grapefruity hops at the back to keep thins really interesting. The plate is slick and the carbonation average. A trul wonderful IPA with dessert overtones.

Bottle. Golden beer, foamy head. Aroma of caramel, bread and pine. Buttery taste of peach, pine and biscuit. Fruity bitter finish. Nice, but a bit too modest.
