Tap. Brewdog, Sheffield. Hazy copper colour. Bubbly, off white head, that doesn’t hang around. Fruity. Stewed apple type thing. Soft toffee. Light, brown sugar. Taste is sugary sweet. Dryness at the end. Decent body, that matches the soft carbonation well. Finishes with more of the stewed apple sweetness. Light dry close. For a style that’s not my favourite, I really liked this one.

Keg at The Hanging Bat. Hazy amber body with an off-white head that quickly fades. Aroma of caramelised sugar, fig and salt. Flavour of green banana, toffee, filter coffee and mushy red apple. Medium body with a powdery texture. Lively fizz. A lovely beer, very typically Belgian. Lacking only in appearance.
