Bottle, gift from Jim- cheers! Amber with a white film on top. Tastes flat despite a light prickly fizz. Sweet malt up front followed by a lot of boiled cabbage which lasts through the coffee that follows it. Almost no hop presence. Thin and watery. The last and possibly the worst of a generally poor four pack of Discworld Beers. Not sure if the beers are so poor because (1) they’re deliberately brewed badly to imitate how you imagine the beer to taste at the Broken/Mended Drum pub in the Discworld novels or (2) they’re brewed cheaply so the brewer can extract the maximum profit from a no doubt expensive franchising deal; sadly I suspect the latter. Either way they’re not remotely worthy of being connected in any way to the late great Terry Pratchett, surely one of the best satirical authors the world has seen.

Bottle 330ml @ Geokkjer
Pours hazy golden with a few off-white bubbles. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, grain and floral. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel and grainy finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat.

Bottled. Goldeny amber colour with just about nothing for a head. Aroma is sweet malts, some toffee and mild nutty notes along with some cooked vegetables. Flavour is sweet malts, some floral bitterness as well as mild cooked vegetables.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, amber colour with late and re-awakening, off-white off-white layer. Don’t know what aroma - neutral "substance" short before dropping into vinegar. Taste is dry, papery, minimally nuttily malty; watery and slightly insipid. Quite a brazenness if it hadn’t been for free.

Bottle @ home. Clear light amber color, virtually no head. Smell and taste lightly malts, some caramel, some hops, slightly a weird sort of fruit bitter. Thin body, low carbonation. Meh.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours amber, nose is dull toffee, taste is flat, thin, herbal.
