Cask handpull at Black Friar London. Black beer lasting tan head. Some liquorice on the dark malts. Roasty yes. Drinkable light for a stout. For a cask beer I would have sworn it was keg. So good condition. Decent. Ok dark fruit. Ok.

Taste comprises subtle roastings, cocoa powder, toffee, light smoke. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate. Decent enough dry stout, easy drinker.

On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - almost opaque but with red chinks. Nose - rich dark chocolate with sultanas. Taste - dark chocolate some charcoal and perhaps a hint of liquorice. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - definitely a dry stout. Good example.
