Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Nose - light red fruits. Almost going into oranges. Taste - strawberry jam and biscuits. Jammy dodgers. A bit tart too. Palate - medium bodied with a big tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - interesting beer even if it doesn’t blow you away.

Bottle as (Very) Special Imperial Pale Ale, bottle #280 @7%. It pours cloudy deep orange with a small white head. The nose is earth, bready, muffin, grain, biscuit, light spice and orange. The taste is bitter, citric, boozy, chewy malt, blood orange, lemon peel, earth, resin and marmalade with a dry, citric finish. Medium+ body, prickly carbonation and chewy mouth-feel. Not the cleanest beer out there. Unrefined, but not unenjoyable. OK.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy golden body with a thin white head that quickly fades. Steady carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of Digestive biscuit, cardboard, grain and earth. Flavour of lemon, biscuit and cereal. Very dry. Thin body with an oily texture. Light fizz. Not up to the usual St Andrew’s standard - this is dry, musty and dull. This bottle was 7.0% ABV.
