Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Light hazed dark gold with a moderate sized fluffy white head. Spice, zest, pine and pale malt (somewhere in-between bready and grainy) aroma. Taste has a soft fruit (melon and apricot maybe) and grain malty start then a pine, dried fruit, burnt brown sugar and bitter floral note. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying finish. Good.

Bottle from Taste of Northumbria. Appearance - golden amber with a nice fluffy head. Nose - cookie dough and orange. Taste - fruitcake, dried orange and fudge. Palate - medium bodied. Could be a lot fresher on the finish. Overall - a bit cloying for the style.

Bottle from Beers of Europe [280414]
Light amber, slight haze, big frothy bubbly white, good lacing
Aroma - Grapefruit zest, some floral hops, fresh zesty hops, nice sweet fruity light caramel malt background
Taste of bitter zesty hops, sweet grapefruit, getting some sweet sponge cake mix(!), grapefruit zest, lots of bitter zest, alcohol well hidden, sweet light caramel malts, touch of slight toffee in the background to add interest, really tasty
Palate - soft carb, medium body, rather sweet with bitter zesty hops. Finish as main flavour, lingering very bitter zest and sweet malts to balance the bitterness, some slight toffee
Overall - Just a cracking beer, lots of flavour, really well made

50cl bottle from a gift-box. Brilliant clear straw colour wth a white head; slightly musty tropical fruit aroma; rich and buttery in the mouth with lots of fruit - mango, pineapple, and grapefruit, and an immediate bitterness; the finish is long and lasting with a gentle bitterness that hides the alochol very well. The best of the bunch.
