Black Forest Gateau! A chocolate stout, flavoured with cherries picked from Russ’ own garden and a creaminess from a high wheat content. As with the other Christmas stouts, cherries are freshly picked and added at casking, and the beer is then left for 3 months to infuse.

Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. Clear brown beer, residual tan head. Light dry palate. Mild dark malt. Light touch of red fruit, whisper of powdered chocolate. Dry finish. Alright but was hoping for something with more BFG flavour.
