Seven is the most Belgian-esque of the numbered beers, where the house yeast is fully expressed with a big fruitiness while the hops provide spicy and herbal elements. The beer has some heft mid-palate but finishes dry.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of pear, apple, white grape, banana, orange peel, bread, biscuit, clove, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, malt, and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of pear, apple, banana, white grape, orange peel, bread, biscuit, clove, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of pear, apple, banana, white grape, orange peel, biscuit, bread, clove, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast ester, malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/yeast ester flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly slick, smooth, and lightly prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent saison style. All around great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast ester, malt, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.

4/I/14 - 1Pt. 9.4.Fl. Oz. bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - BB: n/a (2014-12) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!

Clear bright orange beer, huge solid white head, very stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity start, red forest fruits, passion fruit, peach candy, tangerines, some hay, bit floral and soapy hints. MF: lots of carbon, medium to full body. Taste: fruity start, pretty sweet, sugary, cookie dough, some almonds, soapy bitterness. Aftertaste: soapy, pretty bitter, lemony, grapefruit, something strange, sour touch, some honey, little chemical. Not bad, but the aroma creates more promises than the beer can uphold.

8% bottle, shared by Ajen at Christmas Tasting. Beautiful golden copper color with a nice white head. Tangerines & mandarin the nose with spicy saison notes. Fruity, citrus, bitter for a saison then biscuit/graham notes. Really nice, an interesting take on a saison.

Bottle @ Scooper Tasting in Ulfborg. Pours cloudy yellow with stable white head. Clear, fresh aroma of flowers, hops, and fruit. Sweetish, malty pnset, quickly giving way to bitter, hoppy notes, in turn replaced by alcohol bitterness and floral notes. Lingering, bitter and limy aftertaste. Nice. Ulfborg weekend celebration of nothing in particular. Hazy golden with a lasting white head. The aroma is fruity and spicy, full of good yeasty character, and some mild citrus hop. Dryish fruity flavour with herbal and spicy notes
