Seven is the most Belgian-esque of the numbered beers, where the house yeast is fully expressed with a big fruitiness while the hops provide spicy and herbal elements. The beer has some heft mid-palate but finishes dry.

Bottle. Hazy yellow with medium white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, yeast, hops, spices, phenols and hops. Flavour is malt, fruit, yeast, spices, yeast, phenols, spices, medium sweet, hop and a little bitter.

Pours deep gold into a tulip. Bright white head with good retention meringues and recedes leaving spot lacing. Sweet caramel and dusty yeast aromas. Dry and full with sweet hot caramel upfront turning to sour resin before the lasting hot earthy hop finish.

Bottle bought @ bierkompass.de. Pours hazy golden with a huge frothy goldenish white head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of trace on the glass. Smell is herbal and tiny phenolic with crackers, grass, black pepper corns, lemon balm, dry soil, pine needles, unripe pears, lemon zest and hints of alcohol. Taste is bitter, herbal with crackers, grass, pine needles, moist green herbs, fresh ginger, dry soil, lemon zest, orange zest, pepper corns, coriander, alcohol and hints of orange juice. Mouthfeel is round, tiny boozy, slightly dry and medium bodied. Finish is bitter and herbal with crackers, dry soil, grass, moist herbs, dry soil and dry wood. Nice but a bit too boozy. Matched nicely with the crayfish we had for dinner.

Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of malts, honey, raisins, peach and sherry. Bitter flavour, yeast, candy and malts. Lots of carbo. Finish candy, malts and yeast.

Bottle, 75 cl. A big, creamy white head forms over a lightly golden body. Lightly grassy aroma with peppery notes and a lots of fruityness. Full-bodied and lightly warming, with a nice carbonation level. Peppery, sweetish, fruity flavor with a good bitterness. Dry on the palate. Lasting finish with peppery flavors, fruityness and a peppery hint. Some pine cones. A wonderful food beer, or as a thirst quencher. 130811
