Clear bottle with twist off lid. Poured into a glass and surprisingly a chili pepper comes out and floats on the top. Peppery aroma. Slight haze on a clear pale beer. Taste is mostly bubbly chili pepper with a hint of pale lager, then some medium spicy heat sets in. Grab the pepper with your lips and chew it on the next swig, not bad but most of the heat must now be in the beer, very little in the pepper. Nifty beer rating experience, probably a copy cat of cave creek beer. I think they are made by the same company cerveceria mexacana but different breweries. I gave cave creek a 3.4, very similar from what I recall.

Bottle from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours gold with a creamy white head and a one inch (or so) green chili. My but the aroma is rather strong chili.Med minus body. The flavor is pretty decent, and not at all weak chili. Serrano seems to be a bit earthier than jalapeno. And that seems about all that should be said. Chili.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s. Pours a clear yellow appearance with a white head. Some green pepper, red chili, black pepper in the nose. Corn, green peppers, and spicy green chili peppers in the flavor. Pass.

Bottle. Pepper and light barley malt aroma. Golden yellow with minimal head. Lightly sweet barley malt and moderately spicy hot pepper flavor. Actually not too bad - hot but not overwhelmingly so.

11.2 oz bottle. Aroma consists of chili pepper and pale lager beer. Pours hazy pale gold with a medium white had that falls after a minute into a ring of foam; small chili pepper bobs around on top. Taste is spicy obviously, but there’s also a breadiness. The heat is pretty strong, but it’s not quite up there with Cave Creek or Stone’s Crime and Punishment; still, it’s leaving my lips burning. Body is thin, but the mouthfeel has a nice creaminess to it. Great chili beer for those who think Cave Creek and Crime and Punishment are too extreme, but still want some heat in their beer.
