A diabolical alliance of brewers and publicans brought forth this unholy concoction, a chocolate coffee stout. Admiral for bittering, Sorachi, Bramling X and Nelson Sauvin for flavour, and a healthy dose of dark muscovado sugar.

500ml bottle. Pours very dark brown with a small head. Aroma is burnt sugar, tar and liquorice. Taste has tar and liquorice to start with a sweet, beefy finish. Tar on the aftertaste.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Black with a thick off-white frothy head. Has a dry coffee bean aroma and taste with very few roasted malts evident.
