Bottle from the Glenpark Hotel in Ayr. Appearance - opaque black with an olive sheen and a lovely fawn head. Nose - chocolate and liquorice which then manifests itself as a blackcurrant menthol thing. Taste - drier and less fruity. Dry liquorice or charcoal thing. Dark chocolate still. Maybe some burnt raisins. Palate - medium to full bodied with a creamy texture. Dry crunchy finish. Overall - lovely beer.
